Circumstances force Urd to come to terms with her angel, whom she hasn't summoned since the day she first swallowed her angel's egg.

Summary

Skuld reads through a magazine about the new trend of angelic fashion and remembers the angel's egg she has around her neck. Looking at it again, she tells herself that she really misses Noble Scarlet and wants to bring her back, promising to not force her into the egg again. Urd appears and smacks Skuld with a paper fan before she can swallow the angel's egg, as she doesn't have enough power to control an angel yet. Skuld gets mad and asks Urd if she misses her angel, but Urd dismisses the question and walks away, saying she couldn't understand... because she doesn't understand herself. Skuld believes that Urd is mocking her for not having an angel, though she wonders why Urd ordered an angel's egg if she already had one.

Urd finds Belldandy outside and asks to have a private conversation with her. After some hesitancy, she asks her sister about what it was like to meet her angel. Belldandy answers that her experience meeting Holy Bell was like meeting a new, very special friend and that it was like looking into a mirror reflecting her soul. Urd agrees with Belldandy's assessment about a mirror but says that's why she felt terrified when she met her angel.

Urd goes into her room and stares into a wall mirror to try and tries to summon her angel, but without any luck. Skuld eavesdrops on her and mistakenly believes she doesn't have an angel either and plots some revenge against her. Later, Urd finds Belldandy in her room while she's using runes to tell fortunes, Urd's in this case. Belldandy shows the runes thurizas and algiz, meaning that Urd will be confronted with a reflection of what's hidden in herself and that there will be challenges ahead. Urd wants Belldandy to stop, but Belldandy knows that Urd misses her angel.

Keiichi finishes working on his motorcycle outside and heads to his room to watch a bike race on TV, only to discover that its internal parts as well as his cassette player have been stripped away. He immediately knows Skuld had done it and goes to her room, unprepared to find her making the finishing touches on a monolithic-shaped machine. Skuld explains she "borrowed" his parts to build her Power Amp α-707, a magical amplifier similar to what they encountered in Sayoko's castle, and that by using it, she'll have enough power to summon Noble Scarlet. Keiichi tries to leave before Skuld causes trouble, but he accidentally steps on a power strip switch which turns the machine on! They try turning it off, but can't do so since Skuld hadn't made the control circuit yet, and they're suddenly surrounded by a plume of water.

Belldandy and Urd rush to the commotion and discover Keiichi and Skuld trapped in a high-level water spell. Belldandy summons Holy Bell and tries using a wind spell to break the water, but it's not powerful enough. She turns to Urd and asks her to summon her fire-element angel since only that can break the spell, but Urd is reluctant to do so. Belldandy grabs Urd and tells her that she's respected her decision to not summon her fire angel after meeting her and pleads with her to do it just this once. However, Urd reveals that it's not that she doesn't want to, but that she can't summon her angel.

Ever since she was a child, Urd had wondered if she really was a half-demon, half-goddess, and she'd hoped that her angel would have the pure, white wings of a goddess. Instead, Urd's angel reflected her inner true self, and it was something she couldn't handle. Faced with the hard truth, Urd screamed to her angel "I never want to see you again!", which was an order that her angel has followed ever since.

Urd tells Belldandy that she'll need to come up with another idea, but Belldandy shows her the final rune, berkana, meaning the return of a friend. Belldandy tells Urd that she must believe and that she'll meet her angel if she does so. Urd realizes that deep down, she did want to meet her angel again (which is why she'd ordered that angel's egg), and prays to meet her. World of Elegance—her angel who is half-white and half-black—answers her summon and appears, allowing Urd to use a powerful fire spell to free Keiichi and Skuld.

As Urd holds an unconscious Skuld in her arms, she tells her that she hopes she and Noble Scarlet get to meet again soon. That said, realizing that it might happen sooner rather than later makes Urd realize that she needs to rub it in before it happens! She later shows off World of Elegance to Skuld by having her blow fire, though a jealous Skuld claims she doesn't care.
