The gang has a chance encounter with Mara at a resort Keiichi mysteriously won tickets for. Instead of fighting, Mara agrees to get along with them and she has a competition with Urd that includes a singing contest.
Summary
Keiichi, Belldandy, Urd, and Skuld, arrive at a hot spring resort that Keiichi somehow won, but they immediately realize that none of them had actually entered him in. Nonetheless, they enter the inn, unaware that Senbei is watching them. Having to send Keiichi winning tickets for the resort makes his happy level go low, but he knows that he'll bring unhappiness upon them soon, which makes it go back up.
Inside their room, Urd finds a pay TV that accepts ¥100 coins for one hour, but Keiichi tells her that they've come to the hot spring to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy nature, and the hot springs in particular. After all, many traditional ones such as this don't separate men and women! Thankfully, Urd learns that sake is served at the baths and everyone heads there.
Unfortunately for Keiichi, he finds out that the baths are separated by gender, and he can only imagine how Urd is teasing Skuld about her lack of growth in her chest area (an imagination that proves to be rather accurate). He then suddenly notices a woman sitting in the bath nearby, and he shrieks upon discovering it's Mara. Belldandy and Urd rush over from the commotion, and Belldandy mistakes Keiichi's "arousal" for an injury.
When everyone's dried off, Mara explains that she's here at the bath solely for vacation and doesn't want to fight. Urd agrees with her and Belldandy makes a proposal: they forget about being goddesses if Mara forgets about being a demon and they won't fight, but if they break this promise, she will punish them. Everyone agrees to the deal, and they then have dinner in a banquet hall.
While dining, Urd and Mara begin reminiscing about the time they spent before they got their current jobs, and Belldandy tells a curious Keiichi that the two of them are still probably friends in a way, but she notes that Mara seems tired. Then, after Belldandy deters them from fighting with a stare, Urd and Mara go downstairs to play Ping-Pong, where Mara crushes Urd because she's practiced. Conversely, Urd challenges and crushes Mara at the arcade game Breakout. Mara tells Urd that if they weren't a demon and goddesses respectively they'd be able to hang out like this every day, but Urd disagrees, saying that it's because they're like this that they could meet at all.
With their unofficial competition tied, Urd and Mara rent a karaoke machine and engage in a singing contest, but Skuld's karaoke scoring machine ranks scores both of them at 72 points. They keep singing and then resort to dirty tactics by playing rock and enka music, which Mara and Urd respectively can't stand. This proves to be the final straw for them and they attack each other with lightning and thunder blasts. Now that they've broken their promise, Belldandy issues their punishment by using magic to force them to continue singing, only now they sing about how great friends they really are.
Later, after Urd and Mara fall asleep, Keiichi picks up Urd while Belldandy puts a blanket over Mara. She is prohibited from wishing her luck, but she wishes her well just the same. After they leave, Urd wonders when she'll be able to hang out with Mara again, while Senbei tells Mara that he collected a strand of Urd's hair from the bathroom drain, and Mara declares that the fun is just beginning!
