After Keiichi returns to his original form, Mara teams up with Sayoko to steal the Gods CD from the temple, as that's the one tool that can defeat her.
Summary[]
Sayoko wakes up at 8 AM and is completely confused when she finds Mara sleeping in her bed! She not only has no idea who this person is, but she also can't remember what she had been doing yesterday. Sayoko retraces her steps and remembers having purchased a music CD after leaving Nekomi Tech, and the mention of a CD immediately wakes Mara and makes Sayoko yelp!
At the temple, Belldandy explains to Keiichi that the Demons CD and the Gods CD form an inseparable pair, and without it, Mara can not leave. However, Belldandy is unwilling to give Mara the Gods CD, so the only way to get rid of her is to convince Mara to leave on her own accord. Urd suggests they use the Gods CD to seal Mara up inside it, but Belldandy says that Mara would be trapped for 500 years and believes that's too cruel of a punishment. That said, she is aware that Mara will eventually come for the Gods CD.
Sayoko panics and throws things at Mara, but Mara tells her that she was attracted to her home by her evil psychic emanations. Mara proves herself correct when she asks Sayoko if she wants to get rid of Belldandy, and Sayoko emanates such a strong aura that she even intimidates her. Mara then explains that she'll help Sayoko get rid of Belldandy if she does a favor for her.
Belldandy places the Gods CD inside of a box and seals it with magic to dissuade her from using it against Mara. Urd insists that she doesn't have to do that because she's cooking a potion that'll defeat Mara. Keiichi goes over to inspect it and immediately throws it down the drain upon seeing the disgusting, multi-eyed creature inside the pot, but Belldandy scolds him for not thinking of the environmental impact of disposing of such toxic things.
Some time passes as Keiichi, Belldandy, and Urd wait for Mara to come (although Urd is actually sleeping). They hear the doorbell and prepare to attack Mara, but it's Sayoko who has come to visit. After being treated to a glass of Coca-Cola, Sayoko excuses herself to the bathroom so she can fulfill Mara's favor: she must retrieve the Gods CD for her and be told it was inside a box labeled "ant crackers". Sayoko finds the box but is frozen still by the magic seal when she tries touching it. Belldandy, Urd, and Keiichi find her trying to open the box, and Belldandy releases the seal on Sayoko so she can move. The moment Sayoko opens the box and takes out the Gods CD case, Mara appears through her shadow and snatches it. Mara attempts to flee but is dragged back to the ground by Belldandy using the power of the Gods CD. It turns out that Urd had swapped the Gods CD for a regular music CD inside the case, but Mara still has the Demons CD and initiates a battle with Belldandy's Gods CD.
They create a huge vortex that throws everything around, and Belldandy realizes that if she and Mara keep it up, everyone will be caught in the vortex. Belldandy decides to stop resisting and let herself be bound by Mara's Demons CD in hopes that she will eventually free herself, but at that moment, the ground under Mara's feet trembles. The creature that Urd created earlier bursts from the sewer system, taking the Demons CD from Mara and swallowing it. Unfortunately for Mara, she'll have to wait for it to defecate until she can get it back.
