Megumi faces off against a motorcycle racer known only as the Queen, who races NIT students every week on the winding mountain road to the university's satellite campus.
Summary
Megumi stops at the Temple to borrow Keiichi's old Aerodynamics 101 textbook because she had forgotten hers at home. She had guessed that Keiichi had taken that course because of how popular it is, or more specifically, because of Professor Kurihara and his fun lectures. Belldandy tells Megumi that she heard that course is hard to get into, and Megumi elaborates that Kurihara only accepts a maximum of thirty students on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Looking at the clock, Keiichi asks Megumi if the course starts at a later time, since back when he took the course, he needed to be on the road by 11:30 or he'd never make it in time. Megumi confidently believes she has extra time until she realizes she forgot to wind her watch yesterday, and she speeds off on her motorcycle. Keiichi warns Megumi to be careful, but Belldandy assures him that she'll be fine, as she thinks Megumi's bike loves her too much to let that happen.
Nekomi Tech has a satellite campus that's located four miles from the main campus along a winding mountain road and starting at 11:30 every Wednesday morning, that road becomes an impromptu racing circuit! On the side of the road, a woman sits on her Yamaha motorcycle and counts the number of students that speed past her. Passing students refer to her as the "Queen" and are glad they're not the ones she'll be racing today. As soon as Megumi, the thirtieth student, passes her with her KSR bike, the Queen starts her Yamaha to catch up with Megumi and race her for the final spot at the lecture.
Megumi immediately notices the Queen on her tail and notes that she does not like losing, but she nonetheless decides to give it what she's got. The Queen attempts to overtake Megumi from the inside of the road, but Megumi leans hard enough on her bike to prevent that from happening. The Queen is encouraged by Megumi's challenge, but she soon finds herself way behind Megumi and stops her bike to admit defeat. She takes her helmet off and vows to beat Megumi next week.
The next week rolls around and Megumi is caught off-guard by the Queen waiting for her to race, despite coming early this time. Megumi tries blocking the Queen again, but the Queen eventually overtakes her, noting that her bike is more powerful than Megumi's mere 80 cc bike. However, Megumi is unphased by it and keeps racing.
On the downward, curvy portion of the road, the Queen contemplates letting Megumi catch up so she beat her again when Megumi appears out of nowhere and overtakes her on the outside! The Queen is baffled that Megumi could catch up when she was so far behind a moment ago, and as she stops racing, she is at a loss for words at how it could've been possible.
