Skuld and Megumi face off in a robot competition at Nekomi Tech, where they must build machines that can collect large drum barrels.

Summary

With a single magical chant, Belldandy completely repairs the ruined Temple. Amazed as Keiichi is by the feat, Belldandy says she only used one ten-millionth of her total power, and that she needs to bottle most of it up again because it is too dangerous for this world. After reverting some of the modifications Urd made to the bedroom, Belldandy summons another left earring and puts it on to restore her limitations.

Keiichi's foot finds the motor for his destroyed motorcycle. Urd offers to fix it for him, but he immediately turns her down, but Skuld also asks to fix it, saying that she bears some responsibility for what happened to it. While Skuld goes off to rebuild the motorcycle, Megumi suddenly shows up to check up on her brother (as all the phone lines are down). Literally a few minutes later, Skuld returns with the newly-built motorcycle, and after meeting Megumi, realizes that she also knows a lot about automobiles. Megumi comments that while the bike is fast, it may be too much for the stock motorcycle frame to handle, something Keiichi proves right when he tries riding it and completely totals it.

Frustrated with Megumi being right, Skuld is about to blow her up with one of her bombs before Belldandy stops her, saying that acting harsh will make one's heart harsh... and that they need to have a proper battlefield to fight in. Tamiya and Otaki concur as they suddenly show up. They've come to invite them to a competition at Nekomi Tech called "Robot Battle", which despite its name, doesn't actually involve robots fighting to the death. Instead, it's a scoring competition where they must build robots that can collect large, empty metal drums from inside a ring, and the one that collects the most is the winner. As for materials, Tamiya points them to a junkyard they can use to scavenge parts from.

At Nekomi Tech, the upcoming Robot Battle has divided the male student body into factions fervently supporting either Megumi or Skuld, helped by Tamiya and Otaki getting people to place bets on the winner of the competition. Keiichi is worried about how guys are now beating each other up over the competition, but Belldandy believes that Skuld and Megumi will be friends in the end, as Skuld sees a bit of herself in Megumi.

The day of the competition has come. Skuld has built a cylindrical-shaped machine called "Hysteric Wheel #1" while Megumi has built the "Pot-Shaker Dragon", a machine resembling a giant forklift equipped with a giant bowl to collect the drums. The Robot Battle begins with the Hysteric Wheel #1 immediately capturing 13 of the 14 drums with rapidly opening and closing doors protruding from the machine, but Megumi counters this by, of all things, covering up Skuld's machine with the Pot-Shaker Dragon's giant bowl.

When Keiichi asks Tamiya what happens now, the latter decides that because Megumi's machine has captured Skuld's machine and thus the drums it acquired, Megumi is the winner. Skuld, however, doesn't take the loss well and impulsively activates the self-destruct feature she installed in her machine, blowing both up and much of the surrounding area too. Now, Tamiya decides that the match was a draw and he is quickly ganged up on by angry students who want their betting money back, but he had already spent all of it.

Back at the Temple, Belldandy tells Skuld to make up with Megumi, and the two of the compliment their machines and say they should build one together next time. They shake hands, but Skuld shocks Megumi with a joy buzzer she was wearing and runs off, with Belldandy furiously chasing after her.
