The strange boy accompanies Keiichi and Belldandy to work at Whirlwind, and Keiichi notices that something strange with time is happening.

Summary

In a monologue, the boy reveals that something "began" and "came to bloom" with relation to how he met Belldandy and how she later forgot him, respectively, and that his goal is to get Belldandy to remember him, or else "it will all be over". At Whirlwind, Chihiro scolds Keiichi for bringing a child with him to work, but when the boy greets her and calls her a beautiful lady, she quickly changes her tune, being vulnerable to cute things and children, and decides that he can stay for as long as he wants.

Later, while Chihiro and the boy horse around with him on a minibike, Belldandy tells Keiichi that she legitimately doesn't know who he is. Furthermore, while she knows he's from her world, his energies are so mixed up that she can't determine whether he's a god or a demon. The boy glances over at them while riding and accidentally throttles the minibike beyond his control. While Chihiro's eyes are closed, Belldandy quickly summons Holy Bell and has her save the boy from falling on the ground and injuring himself. While Chihiro comforts the boy and Belldandy realizes he doesn't have much power, Keiichi swears he saw him smile right before throttling the minibike and suspects he did so on purpose.

Chihiro plays a racing game with the boy at night and loses every single match against him. When asked, Chihiro tells him that Whirlwind closes at 8 p.m., and she declares that the workday is over when she notices a nearby clock reading 8:10. Keiichi looks at his wristwatch and tells Chihiro that it's actually 7:50, but Chihiro tells him that her clock is the law at Whirlwind, and Keiichi decides to adjust his watch accordingly. Outside, they notice that the boy suddenly disappeared, and Chihiro orders Keiichi to bring him again tomorrow. She also asks him for his name, and Keiichi lies and says that his name is Takehiro, which Chihiro notes is old fashioned.

In Heaven, Urd and Skuld are working with other goddesses on Yggdrasil and notice that there's been a drift along the time axis. Urd instructs Skuld to find the cause of the drift while she fixes it manually, and she wonders where Peorth is when she needs her.

At home, Keiichi and Belldandy run into the boy again, as he was waiting for them. He and Keiichi sit down in the tea room while Belldandy attempts to call Heaven, but Belldandy is unable to connect despite it being theoretically impossible. The boy suddenly sprouts up in between them, curious as to what they're talking about when the house's clock rings 11 p.m. Keiichi is surprised at the time, especially when his wristwatch reads only 9:32 p.m., but more importantly, the kid needs to get to bed already. The boy agrees that it's time to sleep, but he asks Belldandy if she would sleep with him. Keiichi has to restrain himself, but Belldandy is fine with sleeping with him, at least until he falls asleep.
