As the boy becomes more desperate for Belldandy to remember him and they both begin experiencing bouts of unconsciousness, Keiichi becomes suspicious of his true nature.
Summary
Inside the workshop, Chihiro notices that Keiichi is upset and distracted, well aware that it's about that boy. She tells him that while he isn't physically grown up, he's certainly acting like it, but she believes that kids who push themselves to act in such a way are very lonely; she asks Keiichi to let her play with him a little longer since he really just needs a friend. At that moment, they hear a sound from the office and stumble upon both Belldandy and the boy unconscious on the floor.
Belldandy tells herself she recognizes the eyes of the person in her dream just as she wakes up. Both she and the boy claim they'd gotten dizzy, and Chihiro tells Keiichi to take them home and have a doctor see them. Keiichi puts both of them in the sidecar and drives them home when he notices they've fallen asleep again, and he's also annoyed that he got stuck in a traffic jam.
In Heaven, Urd struggles to manually maintain the time axis when Skuld shows her the source of the trouble: a bug that's masquerading as a synchronization file but is really lengthening and disrupting the time axis vibration cycle. Skuld says she's unable to isolate and destroy the bug, as it's already infected the operating system file and its peripheral systems too, meaning it can't be deleted piece-by-piece. Instead, she tasks Urd with finding all of the pieces while she looks for a way to tie them all together and wipe them at once.
Belldandy and the boy have woken up by the time Keiichi brings them home, but while Belldandy is in the middle of serving cola, both of them start wobbling. They decide they should get some rest, and the boy gives Keiichi a sly look as they retire to the bedroom. Keiichi is more annoyed than ever with that kid, and he believes that Chihiro was wrong about him: instead of being a kid acting like an adult, he thinks that he's really an adult acting like a kid. He wonders why Belldandy hasn't noticed it by now, but he decides to man up and stop thinking about it. Instead, he turns on the TV and watches a news report about how the entire country is in chaos due to failing clocks. While he watches the broadcast, he thinks about how the boy knew that his watch was off, and how it's strange that he was so proactive in avoiding any cola that could've spilled on him when Belldandy got dizzy earlier.
The boy watches over a sleeping Belldandy and is now begging for her to remember him, and he's also worried about him not being able to "last" until at least tomorrow. Suddenly, Keiichi appears and splashes him with a bucket of water, which makes contact with a previously invisible energy barrier surrounding him. The boy is not happy that Keiichi melted his shield and asks how he knew about his weakness, and Keiichi says he figured it out after the incident with the cola and the fact that he refused to take a bath with Belldandy earlier—something nobody would turn down!
The boy is impressed with Keiichi's semblance of intelligence but tells him that he shouldn't have revealed his secret, as that shield was what he was using to suppress his powers and conceal his identity, and now that it's gone, he has the power to kill him. Keiichi realizes that the boy is a demon, and the boy confirms it just before he attempts to attack him. However, before he can do so, Peorth suddenly appears between them. The goddess is happy to see Keiichi again, and ready for some payback against the demon!
