Sayoko develops feelings for Keiichi after a night of heavy drinking and schemes to steal him away from Belldandy.

Summary

Sayoko gets drunk at a bar one evening, besting one man who tried to out-drink her. When she exits, she complains about how nothing can give her a thrill anymore and wonders if there are any "real" men left out there. She's so intoxicated that she takes her anger out on a garbage can.

At the Temple, Urd and Skuld watch Belldandy knit a sweater for Keiichi. Urd doesn't understand why Belldandy does it manually and tries making one herself using magic, but with only her Moon rock bracelet to provide power, she tires herself out before she finishes. Belldandy tells her sister that knitting isn't just a mechanical process, but it's an emotional experience where one can imbue their feelings into their work, but Urd doesn't understand that at all. Skuld then finds some wrapping paper for Belldandy to use, and Keiichi finds out that it was the paper used for some now-exposed cookies.

Before he can get back to his studies, he hears someone banging the Temple's Bonshō bell. Outside, he finds Sayoko banging the bell and carrying a box of fried chicken that she brought for him. Keiichi immediately realizes how hammered Sayoko is and asks what happened to her, but she starts blabbering and then cries as Keiichi reluctantly hugs her.

Sayoko wakes up the next morning in a futon inside one of the Temple's rooms, where she finds a short letter that Keiichi wrote for her with instructions for hangover medicine and a P.S. telling her not to worry about what happened last night. Reading the letter makes Sayoko think Keiichi is sweet, although she doesn't remember what actually happened last night or how she got there to begin with. Outside, Keiichi and Belldandy are about to ride to Nekomi Tech, and Keiichi asks Urd to look after Sayoko. Once they leave, a dog from a neighbor's home runs up to Urd, and she decides to toy with him by dangling a cookie around her while not letting him have it.

As Urd wanders off, Sayoko finds and unwraps a package containing a hand-knit sweater inside, and she realizes it's a gift Belldandy made for Keiichi. She considers stealing it to make Belldandy freak out, but Sayoko believes that she's too much of a "queen" among women to stoop to that level and decides against it. However, just as she wraps the sweater back up, the dog approaches, grabs the package with his mouth, and runs away with it! Seeing as the decision to steal the sweater was made for her, Sayoko catches up to the dog and manages to trade the sweater in exchange for the fried chicken she bought yesterday.

At Nekomi Tech, Keiichi walks with Belldandy after finishing his exam when they're met by Sayoko, who has gotten better and now invites Keiichi to lunch with her to make up for what happened. Keiichi is hesitant to accept the offer, but Belldandy is perfectly fine with it so long as Sayoko brings him back by dinner. However, when Belldandy arrives home, she panics upon realizing her sweater is missing. She puts on four Moon rings and divides herself to scour the entire Temple, but she can't find it. Urd and Skuld find out and suspects Sayoko had done something, but Belldandy doesn't think so and believes she isn't really a bad person.

Skuld then builds a rocket that shoots into space a deploys a satellite to find the sweater, but she's more interested in that nearby ice cream store she's never been to. Meanwhile, Belldandy communicates with a bird and learns that a dog had taken her sweater, but subsequent animals don't tell her any useful information. Urd tells Belldandy to give up, but Belldandy says she can't because that sweater contains all of the love in her heart. Inspired by her words, Urd puts on eight Moon rings and uses magic to attract all sweaters in the vicinity, but she gets too many and is buried by them.

Sayoko and Keiichi walk along after having a fun time at an amusement park. She now asks him out for dinner, but Keiichi says he can't do that because Belldandy will be waiting for him and suggests that she should try her cooking sometime. Feeling heartbroken from the rejection and not understanding what Keiichi sees in Belldandy, Sayoko contemplates throwing the sweater she's hiding into a nearby river, but she decides against it and instead shoves it into his arms, calling him stupid when he asks what the item is.

At home, Belldandy still hopes that she will find the sweater, and to her delight, Keiichi comes home wearing it. Meanwhile, Sayoko is right back where she started, at a bar where liquor can drown out her sorrows. This time, however, she tells herself that she is not falling for Keiichi.
