Urd goes out for a while after angering Skuld but is captured by Mara, who splits off and transfers her demonic half into a clone of Urd she produced.
Summary
Skuld gets angry at Urd when the latter breaks her newest invention—a machine for reaching things in high places— and Urd only makes it worse by mocking Skuld's height. When Skuld tells her to never come back, Urd decides to head out and asks Belldandy to do something nice for Skuld while she's away. Keiichi thinks that Urd is being irresponsible, but Belldandy tells him that's just her way of looking out for people's feelings.
In Nekomi, Urd buys some ice cream for Skuld, but her trip through an alley to find medicine to buy is cut short when Mara sneaks up behind her and puts headphones playing enka music over her ears, making her lose consciousness. Later on, Keiichi and Belldandy become worried that Urd hasn't returned and they go out to look for her while Skuld waits for Urd to appear through the TV.
Urd wakes up in Mara's arcade hideout tied to a support beam, and Mara shows off the perfect clone of Urd inside a vat that she produced from a strand of her hair she collected from the hot spring. Urd tells her she can't do anything with just a replica of her body, and Mara says that she will rip out Urd's demon half and transplant it into the replica. Urd imagines Mara plans to use the replica Urd to seduce Keiichi and have Belldandy leave him out of heartbreak, though Mara is impressed by the idea since that wasn't actually what she was thinking of.
Urd claims that nobody, not even the Almighty, could separate her two halves, but Mara has a machine called a "personality separation precipitator" she ordered through Demon mail order that Senbei now activates.
At night, Keiichi returns home from searching for Urd on his motorcycle, and Skuld tells him that Urd hasn't come back. Belldandy appears through a mirror and shows them the box of ice cream Urd bought for Skuld earlier, she uses magic to invoke Urd's spirit incantation left on the box and they realize she was captured by Mara.
Impulsively, Skuld rushes outside and rides a motorcycle-converted Banpei into Nekomi, but he runs out of battery, and Skuld hops off. She starts regretting telling Urd to never come back when she suddenly runs into her. Skuld is glad that Urd wasn't kidnapped, but Urd tells her that she is the one who will be kidnapped, as she suddenly pulls out a mirror and sucks her inside of it. Mara appears next to Urd and finds her methods harsh, making her wonder if Urd has become the Lord of Terror again. Urd tells Mara otherwise and says she's just Urd... demon Urd!
