Banpei falls in love with an animatronic Welcoming Girl and bewilders Skuld when he starts acting on his own and visits her at the store she resides at.
Summary
Skuld rides adopt Banpei in motorcycle mode to race to a store holding a sale just minutes away from closing. Skuld takes an off-road shortcut through a path along a canal, but Banpei abruptly stops in front of a small store and sends Skuld flying into some nearby foliage. It turns out that Banpei noticed the store's animatronic Girl who said "Welcome! Thank you for coming." as they passed by, and he immediately fell in love. However, the welcoming Welcoming Girl shorts out and stops working, and by the time Skuld gets back to Banpei, the old lady managing the store takes the Welcoming Girl inside and out of sight, and Skuld assumes that she accidentally pressed Banpei's stop button. Unfortunately for Skuld, the store she wanted to go to closes by the time they get there, and she tells herself she should've just used her water teleportation.
The next day, Skuld searches for Banpei around the house when Keiichi tells her that Banpei took off on his own a while ago, and Skuld suspects Banpei has a bug in his program. Unbeknownst to her, Banpei headed back to the store from yesterday to stand next to the Welcoming Girl, seemingly happy, but she shorts out again. The old lady inspects the Welcoming Girl and comments that her late husband fished the machine out of a junk heap and fixed it up himself, and she knows there's one way to keep it working. She partially undoes the Welcoming Girl's dress and smacks her back, but while that does the trick, she believes the machine is on its way out regardless.
Skuld confronts Banpei as soon as he returns home about where he wandered off to. She takes him into her room to check his memories, but she's surprised to see that he's protected them behind a password she doesn't know, and Banpei abruptly gets up and rides off again. Skuld goes to Belldandy and tells her about Banpei's strange behavior, but Belldandy doesn't believe that Banpei has a bug as Skuld thinks and suggests that she just leave him alone; after all, she wouldn't want anyone looking in her memories. Meanwhile, while Banpei replays the footage of the partially undressed Welcoming Girl, Urd sneaks up on him and already knows that he's in love.
When Banpei wanders off again, Urd accompanies Skuld and they tail him on Urd's flying broom back to the store. Spying on him from the foliage, they spot him pushing the Welcoming Girl (seated atop a wheeled platform) along with him on what Urd suggests is a date. The old lady comes out again, and Skuld tells Urd to take the Welcoming Girl's place until she can retrieve Banpei. To Urd's disappointment, the lady's vision is so poor that she doesn't notice the difference between her and the animatronic, and after getting partially undressed and smacked on the back by her, is forced to spout her generic line.
Banpei takes the Welcoming Girl to a park bench and connects her electric plug to his 100v outlet. Wanting to "kiss" her, Banpei tilts his head to the right to avoid bumping her on his wide jingasa hat, as well as to hide what they're doing to Skuld, who's watching from nearby and speechless at what she sees.
